A
couple of months ago a friend passed on an interesting blog to me.
She knew I would be interested as it is called Painting and Draw
together. I love to paint purely for the enjoyment it gives.
The
idea is to challenge and encourage people at all skill levels of
painting and drawing to do a painting each month. The challenge
painting is set by a photo given by the blog owner .As each member of
the blog paints or draws or interprets the photo and turns it into a
piece of art , it is sent into the blog for the others to see and
comment on if they wish to do so. Comments are kept positive and
helpful and are fun to read.
Well
it certainly is a challenge but it is great to get the artistic
juices flowing and most interesting to see the various end results.
It is truly amazing to see the different styles and effects in one
painting.
There
are no prizes and no “Best in Show” and it is fun to do.

Vermeer and the photo on the right my attempt at painting it.
I
encourage all artists and would be artists to try it. Believe me it's
fun to do.
